Described as ‘possibly the best short story event in the South West’ (Cheltenham LitFest programme) and ‘just some stories in a room’.
The judges choose just ten stories from around one hundred submitted by Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire authors seeking the privilege of reading to a sell-out audience at the SVA. Competition is always hot.
If previous SSS events are anything to go by there may be stories about everything from an heroic milkman taking his vows to an autistic child’s day out and a woman’s dream of losing weight by eating chocolate. It’s best to expect the unexpected.
Tickets are only available online and only in advance. We always sell-out, so buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Organised by local short fiction author, John Holland.
