We welcome back guitar ace Dan Messore as special guest at Septembers SJS.
Dan's guitar playing channels the greats like Bill Frisell and Pat Metheny, and reaches across to more rhythmic and latin genres like Charlie Byrd. Dan's collaboration with Iain Ballamy has set critics' hearts racing, his eclectic album with Little Arrows was nominated for the Welsh Music Prize 2013, and -as mentioned- he frequently plays with Stroud Jazz favourite Jake McMurchie in Michelson Morley.
Dan's bringing some originals and standards for his opening performance, which will be followed by our usual energeti-frenetic jam for all-comers to play, sing, or listen.
