John Street has been SVA’s home since 1996. This 7,000 sq. ft town centre warehouse has been refurbished over the years and now provides an event and cafe space, a street facing gallery space and studio spaces for 26 artists.

Gallery hours vary depending on the exhibition/residency - check the What’s On page for events. Office Opening Hours : Tuesdays to Fridays 10am-3pm. Find out more about the studios on the SVA Studios website.

The Goods Shed

Station Approach, Stroud. GL5 3AP.

A Brunel designed industrial heritage building which provides a unique space for performances, exhibitions and film screenings. We use the Goods Shed for all kinds of artistic and educational projects such as carnival preparations, art exhibitions, film screenings and live music. The highlights of our year which feature the Goods Shed frequently are the Site Festival and Jazz Stroud Festival.

SVA Cafe

Our cosy venue is the perfect weekend hang out with squishy sofas and chilled tunes. Laptop users welcome to stay a while and use our free wifi. Plenty of seating in our spacious outdoor courtyard. Dog friendly.

We serve a brunch time menu with seasonal specials. Divine coffee from Wogan Coffee. Sweet treats from Stroud favourite Salt Bakehouse and Tuga Pastries’ Portuguese tarts. Full licensed bar and soft drinks.

Join us for our Artists Hub every Friday 10am-12pm.

Fridays: 10am - 1.30pm

Saturdays: 10am-3pm
