Residency
Open Friday & Saturdays 10am -3pm
Akira Roe will utilise the gallery space to create large-scale experimental paintings created with the use of paint rollers. The work will explore themes related to the deconstruction and decolonisation of our preconceived notions surrounding myths and folklore. Much of the work will also be informed by the rural landscape and evolving folkloric traditions of Stroud, as well as the interface between their formative years living in Kyoto and remembered anecdotal stories and myths told by their Japanese mother.
