More about the performers:

Chris White

Head honcho of Devoncentric spoken word wondermentalists Spork!, Chris is a poet, performer and submerging artist with a passion for making poetry and theatre shows which are fun, accessible and gently bonkers, often touching and gently massaging themes such as queerness and identity. Chris performs nationally at festivals and at top-notch spoken-word nights from Tongue Fu to Raise the Bar to, well, here.

Jackie Juno

Bovey Tracey’s foremost reniassance woman, Jackie is a writer, painter, performer, singer, radio presenter, comedian AND celebrant.

Edward Tripp

Strange, surreal, side-splittingly funny mix of story-telling, poetry and performance art. Once described as Dave Allen meets David Lynch, he’s been known to cover himself in yeast and wield papier mache effigies of his mum’s head whilst delivering profound universal truths. Ed has brought his unique brand of spoken-word to nights and festivals across the country, has supported Hollie McNish on tour, won the Spork! Poetry Slam in 2021, and frequently performs at both poetry and comedy nights.

“Absurd and hysterical stand-up and poetry. At times both incredibly witty and completely nonsensical... a bizarre and enigmatic set that had the audience in stitches.” - Razz Magazine

Worldwide Welshman

Worldwide Welshman is Liam Rickard, a singer-songwriter and novelty-alt-pop artist from North Wales, and Europe’s most underground, unknown & underfunded pan-global party band. His stated mission to save the world having proven rather difficult, in the meantime he’s been collaborating with a host of international musicians to entertain audiences across the planet with his multilingual musings on modern life. Currently based in Machynlleth, since 2016 Worldwide Welshman- both solo and with his ever-changing band- has been entertaining audiences in cafés, clubs, pubs, boats, squats, living rooms, community gardens and festivals across the UK and abroad with a multi-lingual, tragi-comic mix of folk-pop ballads, party-bangers, spontaneous improvisations, folk songs from Wales and beyond, and dark comedy. His performances touch upon a diversity of themes including climate change, migration, mental health, cognitive dissonance, lockdown, and face-cream. Liam has collaborated with musicians from all over, but in particular, with his brother, Siôn, with whom he founded the Welsh indie-folk band, Lo-fi Jones.
