Playground is Stroud’s new festival of play aimed at children but inclusive of adults, with activities, workshops and entertainment spread across two days in two locations.
Saturday 13 July : 11.30am - 6pm
Bank Gardens + St Lawrence Church in Stroud
The first day is at Bank Gardens with Silly Science, APE Project, Access Bikes, and more. Plus Live Music from 12pm with Kostka Band Band Camp, Community Unlimited, Burda Legree and John Street Ska Orchestra. Mini Morris, Sound Scape and Paper Jungle will be doing amazing things at St Lawrence’s Church.
Plus a fantastic procession at 11am and a picnic competition for best picnic spread and arty hamper!
Sunday 14 July : 10am-6pm
The Goods Shed
The second day is at The Goods Shed with a focus on teddy bear den making and kids’ den-making to make an environment of unusual miniature dwellings.
Den City 10am-6pm : City scape of teddy bear dens for all the teddies.
Arty Brum Booty 10am - 1pm : Art car boot fair behind The Goods Shed.
DiscoNature 1pm : Party Animals! Get your dancing paws, flippers and hooves on and join us for an afternoon exploring animal behaviour through music, games, dance and comedy. A fun body and brain workout for all. DiscoNature is a natural science inspired performing art event developed in collaboration between musician Josef Reeve and Kaoru Blackstone (Wild Things; Stroud-based natural science and art group).
